Adults will participate with toddlers and will take home resources to extend learning.
Reading Readiness is an early literacy program for children ages 2 through 5 that combines participatory activities with reading aloud, with the goal of reinforcing key concepts that children need to learn in order to develop pre-literacy skills. The Reading Readiness program typically meets for 6-8 weeks of participatory storytelling sessions. Blended Lens will offer a unique, dual-focus collaborative learning experience for beginner DSLR camera users and makeup lovers, utilizing the creative space of RF63 Gallery, a local gathering place that celebrates and sparks originality. Hip Hop (3.5-5.5 yrs)

This fun movement class is perfect for children who love dancing, upbeat music, and creative expression but perhaps want or need something a little less conventional than a ballet class. Hip hop will foster musicality and timing, confidence and performance, coordination and balance, rhythm and footwork, strength and stamina, and all around physical fitness and wellness. Dancers will be led through a warm up and series of stretches, learn choreography to current (age appropriate) pop music, and have opportunities to dance across the floor and in the center by themselves and in groups. Musical Theatre Dance Class (5.5-8 yrs)

FALL SESSION 1 - NEW MOM & BABY CLASSES

Newbies (0-3 mths)

Instructors: Nancy & Melanie

Newbies is a class for new babies and new moms. It's an opportunity for sharing experiences, getting used to getting out with the baby, and for learning time-tested tricks of the trade to: help settle fussy babies; cope with the challenges of feeding, sleep deprivation, and major life change; learn a few songs; address specific topics you want to discuss; and make new friends in the bargain!

Kangas (3-6 mths)

Instructor: Nancy
Kangas is a class for bouncy babies and new moms. Babies between 12 and 20 weeks old will enjoy coming along with their moms to learn more songs, read stories, and let their moms meet friends--old and new--to discuss topics close to their hearts, such as: sleep; back to work - or not?; childcare; getting out and about as a family; finding time for herself as well as for her partner and friends; and other issues the group chooses.

Seekers (7-9 mths)

Instructor: Nancy

Seekers is a class for curious babies and new moms. Maybe your baby is moving across the floor, maybe not, but they are certainly extra curious by now! This class will continue adding songs to your repertoire. We’ll introduce a few other toys, activities, and new books and let you decide what the most important topics are that you want to address in addition to sleeping and napping such as: solid foods, work-related issues, and relationships.

Sprouts Play Group (7-12 mths)

Instructor: Melanie

Sprouts Play Group is an enrichment program for both babies and their caregivers. Experience an active and engaging circle time complete with songs, stories, and an introduction to specific developmentally appropriate toys and exercises. Utilize both in class and at home to enhance your baby’s abilities and facilitate growth and development, such as sitting, crawling, and eventually walking. Each class ends with a goodbye song and parachute time. Babies will quickly become familiar with the routine and look forward to coming to class and playing with friends!

Sprouts Family Class (7-12 mths)

Instructor: Nancy

An enrichment program all about babies and their families. Experience an active and engaging circle time complete with songs, stories, and a introduction to specific developmentally appropriate toys and play exercises to utilize both in class and at home. The goal is to enhance your baby's abilities and facilitate growth and development such as sitting, crawling, and eventually walking. Each class ends with a goodbye song and parachute time. Starlight Starbright Evening Music Class (0-12 mths)

Instructor: Marcie

Sweet dreams to follow...peacefully finish the evening with bedtime stories and make wishes on glowing stars. Little ones are welcome to wear pajamas to this evening class as we use music to channel our energy into the bedtime hour. The class also includes imaginative play with flashlights and bubbles. The child centered curriculum supports the adult-child bond and includes songs, stories, creative movement, flashlight play, bubbles, puppets, and more!
